The point of this blog is to show behind-the-scenes info about my videos. Since I’ve made some old videos before this website was created, so here’s some info about them, starting with the oldest:
Verizon Commercial:
This video was a failed attempt at getting famous really quicky. It was a couple days after a snowstorm, and the snow was beginning to melt. There were patches of snow on the ground. It was a cloudy day, and the sun was only shining on one part of my lawn that didn’t have any snow on it. That’s when I got the idea to film the transition from winter to spring, but it wasn’t until editing that I decided to make it into a Verizon “commercial”. As soon as I uploaded it, I sent a message to the official Verizon YouTube account with the video attached. They didn’t reply.
This video was extremely tedious, and actually didn’t turn out as well as I had hoped. I printed out a sprite sheet of every single sprite (picture of a charactor used in the actual game) in Pac-Man, and then cut them out one by one. I didn’t even originally have a plan for what I would do with all those sprites cut out, but I knew it was going to be stop-motion. I decided to film a short opening scene, and then the main game. For the portion where Pac-man and the ghosts are outside, I had to tape quarters to the bottom of each charactor because of the wind.

Behind Bars:
One of my favorites. Some people tell me that the very first shot looks fake. I had it looking more realistic, but for some reason when it exported from Sony Vegas it looked darker than it was on YouTube, so I kept brightening myself in that first scene. That’s why I seem lighter than the background. I might remake it in the future.

Woah! Long title! My subscribers who don’t actually know me in real life won’t understand this video. It was made for my middle school’s play. I do a video like this every year, and this year I decided to post it on YouTube. So if you don’t know me in real life there’s no need to watch this one. Much more of the good stuff is coming soon.
